Unusual luxury craftsman & printer
We are in Burgundy, near the Estampe workshops. Somewhere hidden is Thomas Michal's workshop, named Atelier Point b-art. Here, printing no longer has the same value.
Thomas Michal combines the art of graphic identity with the ancient know-how of typographic printers. In his workshop, Point B-Art, he creates bespoke luxury stationery.
Typographic art printing
Thomas has chosen a return to mechanical printing, where engraving marks the paper with its ink, with its gold leaf. It is an art print where time regains its marks, where the machine is an object of art that we love to observe.
His prints are those of luxury products, where the papers come from great artisans, where the printed object becomes a spectacle to discover.
First collaboration on the Estampe luxury candle
The culture of unusual processes becomes the point of exchange between Thomas and Estampe. The craftsman becomes the creator of the labels for each kraft packaging, hot foiled in a copper finish. A collaboration then takes place on the creation of a high-end candle for Estampe. Thomas imagines an illustration inspired by copperplate engraving used in printing processes.
